Are all of your buildings available for Rent-to-Own?

All of the standard buildings are available for rent-to-own. Special orders may require a cash purchase. If the customer intends to alter the building with construction or painting it will need to be a cash purchase.

Do I need good credit?

At Hoosier sheds,  we offer our customers the option to buy or Rent To Own with NO CREDIT CHECK!

How do I make my Rent To Own payments?

If you choose our Rent to Own option, all payments should be made to your assigned rental company in accordance with your contract / Rent to Own agreement. If you have misplaced this information, call (765) 620-3349

How much will my down payment be?

Down payments may vary in most cases, buildings wider than 12 ft. will require additional down payment fees due to wide load hauling restrictions and escort service requirements. 08' wide $100 plus 1st month rent, 10' wide $200 plus 1st month rent. 12' wide $300 plus 1st month rent.

When will I get my new building?

A building purchased will take 7-10 working days to deliver. Weather conditions and the demand of the season can alter delivery times of 14-21 days.

Is delivery included in the price?

When you buy or rent to own a building from us we will deliver your building for FREE in selected areas, call (765) 620-3349. Initial set up of building is also included.

Does the building need to sit on gravel or concrete?

The only requirement is a level location. Our buildings are designed to rest directly on their skids. In order to level the building we use treated wood blocks. If you would like to have your building on concrete blocks, we only require that you provide the blocks. For specifics on number of blocks needed for your particular building, call (765) 620-3349

What if my new building will not fit through my gate or around my fence?

We require that your site be ready for delivery, and is not responsible for making any alterations to fences or other barriers. If you have questions about your site, call (765) 620-3349.

How much space should be allowed to deliver a building?

A vertical space of 14', measured from the ground to the top of the building when it is on the trailer is required. Be sure to take any tree branches and utility wires into account. The driver will still need a minimum of 2' of space to maneuver the truck. That is, a building 12' wide will require a 14 foot wide space. Please take tight turns into account when considering a location.

In what sizes are your buildings available?

We can build any size building between 8x8 and 14x40 as long as it is in increments of 2'. Therefore, sizes falling within that range can be custom built. Hauling restrictions may apply, therefore, 14' wide buildings are not available in all areas call (765) 620-3349 for details. 

Why is my 12' wide building only about 11'6" wall to wall?

We are limited by hauling regulations as to how wide a building we can deliver. The current regulation is 12'. For this reason 8, 10, 12 & 14 - wide buildings are measured from eave to eave.

What kinds of maintenance will be required on my building?

You should enjoy many years of maintenance free storage.

Flooring structure, treated plywood!

Flooring is 5/8" treated plywood, nailed to 2×4 Floor Joists (8 ft wide) 2×6 Floor Joists ( on 10 -12 ft wide buildings) placed 16" O/C and notched into skids 1".  The Portable Garage and the Lofted Garage flooring is 5/8" treated plywood, nailed to 2"x6" floor joists placed 12" heavy duty O/C and notched into skids 1". You can get a heavy duty floor (12" OC) on any building for an additional charge.

How can I re-stain my treated building?

Your building is treated wood T1-11 siding, can be stained or touched up with Pittsburgh Paints HONEY GOLD 

Do I need to have permits or other paperwork?

You are responsible for contacting your local city and county agencies in regard to zoning, permits, setbacks, and covenants. Also, it is recommended that you contact your Home Owners Association (if applicable) to determine what neighborhood rules and regulations may be apply.

What is the warranty on a building?

We guarantee our buildings to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of one year. In addition to the standard warranty, all treated materials have a 40 year warranty against rot and decay. Painted treated siding has a LP SmartSide® 50-year warranty against decay, termites and delamination.

Does a Metal Roof cost more than a Shingle Roof?

We offer a high quality 30-year structural shingle or a 30-year metal roof at the same cost. It's your choice!

Can I choose where to place windows and doors in my new building?

Our buildings are fully customizable to suit your needs. We offer many great options, so you're sure to get YOUR building... YOUR way! Some restrictions may apply. Call (765) 620-3349 with any questions.

How big are the doors in my new building?

On buildings that are 8 Ft. wide, includes a single door, with an opening of approximately 46". On buildings that are 10 Ft. wide or wider, includes Double doors, with an opening of approximately 72". We offer roll-up garage doors at 6' and 9' widths.
